PRESS RELEASE August 16, 2011

Bonnier Tidskrifter will become the new majority owner of Mediafy. Mediafy sells magazines over the web, primarily through the website Tidningskungen.se. The company has operations in Norway and Finland, and sells corporate subscription packages as well.

Since its founding, Mediafy has continuously developed its services within sales and marketing for magazine publishers, and today has dozens of sites aimed at consumers.

“Mediafy, with its wide range, has shown that a maximized customer focus is profitable, which benefits the entire magazine industry,” says Ulrika Saxon, CEO for Bonnier Tidskrifter. “I believe that our long-term subscription strategy and Mediafy’s fast-paced focus are a strong basis for future sales.”

“Bonnier has tremendous expertise in all aspects of magazines, which we think will be a big advantage for us,” says Ola Degerfors, CEO for Mediafy. “By joining forces, we’ll more quickly reach our goal to be the leading European player for subscription sales via the Internet.”

Mediafy is the Nordic region’s biggest magazine subscription retailer, with over 3,500 titles from the biggest and most well-known to the smallest niche magazines.
